Using SpanRota

These Terms of Use govern your use of SpanRota and its optional Pro features. “We” and “us” mean the developer of SpanRota, reachable below. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using it.

SpanRota helps you record shifts and estimate earnings without a SpanRota account. You must be legally able to accept these terms, or have a parent or guardian’s permission where required.

Estimates, not payroll or professional advice

All pay figures, totals, forecasts, widgets, and exported reports are estimates based on your entries and the app’s calculation settings. They may differ from actual wages or payroll because of rounding, deductions, taxes, overtime rules, breaks, employer policies, or other factors.

SpanRota is not a payroll service or an official wage record, and it does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. Verify important figures against your employment agreement and official payroll records. Consult a qualified professional when needed.

Your records and responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of entered shifts, hours, rates, and settings, and for checking reports before relying on or sharing them. Enter and share only information you are entitled to use.

Your records are stored locally. Keep appropriate backups or exports of information you need. Device loss, app deletion, or other failures may cause data loss. Restoring purchases restores eligible access, not your records. Widget updates and reminders depend on iOS behavior and settings and are not guaranteed to arrive or refresh at a particular time.

SpanRota Pro and subscriptions

Some features require SpanRota Pro. The purchase screen describes the features included, subscription duration, price, currency, and any trial or promotional conditions before you confirm. Availability may vary by app version and offering; only the features shown for your selected plan are included.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm purchase, subject to any trial or offer shown. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal under the timing and price presented by Apple.

Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SpanRota. For a free or discounted trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends if you do not want to renew. See Apple’s cancellation instructions.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Apple displays the date your access ends after cancellation. Pro access requires a valid entitlement; use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used to buy it. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies and applicable law. Price changes and any required consent follow Apple’s procedures.

Acceptable use and ownership

Use SpanRota lawfully. Do not bypass purchase restrictions, interfere with the app’s security, distribute unauthorized copies, or use the app to infringe others’ rights. Restrictions on reverse engineering apply only to the extent permitted by law and applicable open-source licenses.

You retain rights to your own records and exports. The app, its design, and other developer-owned materials remain the property of their respective owners. Your right to use the app is governed by the applicable App Store license terms.

Privacy and services you choose

Our Privacy Policy explains local storage, widgets, notifications, purchases, exports, and support correspondence. When you share a PDF or CSV through iOS, you choose its destination and are responsible for checking the content and recipient. External apps and services, including Apple services, have their own terms.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, SpanRota is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise of uninterrupted operation, error-free calculations, or suitability for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, resulting from use of or inability to use the app, reliance on estimates, or loss of records. This does not exclude or limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights, statutory guarantees, or remedies available under applicable law.

Changes and ending use

We may update the app or these terms. We will post revised terms with an updated date and provide appropriate notice of material changes. Where required, changes take effect only after notice or consent. Changes do not remove rights already accrued or mandatory rights relating to purchases.

You can stop using SpanRota at any time. If you disagree with revised terms, stop using the app and manage any subscription through Apple. Ending use or deleting the app does not itself cancel billing.

Governing terms and disputes

These terms supplement Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, which governs the app license unless a custom EULA is supplied with the App Store listing. The applicable EULA controls in a conflict about licensing. Apple Media Services Terms govern your transactions with Apple.

Applicable law determines the governing law and competent courts for these supplemental terms. Nothing here restricts mandatory protections or rights to bring claims in your home jurisdiction where applicable. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
